विश्वास करें कि आप सफल हो सकते हैं और आप हो जाएंगे यानी बहुत सी अद्भुत और अच्छी समतलब है अमारा- शानदार घर , मजेदार छुट्टियाँ , यात्रा , नई चीजें , आर्थिक सुरक्षा , अपने बच्चों को ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा खुशहाली देना । सफलता का मतलब है प्रशंसा का पात्र बनना , लीडर बनना , अपने बिजनेस और सामाजिक जीवन में सम्मान पाना । सफलता का मतलब है आज़ादी - चिंताओं , डर , कुंठाओं और असफलता से आज़ादी । सफलता का मतलब है आत्म - सम्मान , ज़िंदगी का असली सुख और जीवन में संतुष्टि , जो लोग आप पर निर्भर हैं उनके लिए अधिक से अधिक करने की क्षमता । सफलता का मतलब है जीतना । उपलब्धि मनुष्य के जीवन का लक्ष्य है ! हर इंसान सफलता चाहता है । हर इंसान चाहता है कि उसे जिंदगी का हर सुख मिले । कोई भी घिसट - घिसटकर औसत ज़िंदगी नहीं जीना चाहता । कोई भी सेकंड क्लास नहीं दिखना चाहता या इस तरह का जीवन नहीं गुजारना चाहता । सफल जीवन का व्यावहारिक रास्ता हमें बाइबल की उस पंक्ति में दिखाया गया है जिसके अनुसार आस्था से पहाड़ हिलाए जा सकते हैं ।होता है कि वे ऐसा कभी नहीं कर पाते । किसी मौके पर आपने शायद किसी को यह कहते सुना होगा , " । सोचना बकवास है कि आप किसी पहाड़ को यह कहकर हिला सकते । पहाड़ , मेरे रास्ते से हट जाओ । ' यह असंभव है । जो लोग इस तरह से सोचते हैं उन्होंने आस्था और इच्छा के बीत के अंतर को ठीक से नहीं समझा है । यह सच है कि केवल इच्छा कर भर से आप पहाड़ को नहीं हटा सकते । केवल इच्छा करने भर से आप एक्जीक्यूटिव नहीं बन जाते । केवल इच्छा करने भर से आप पाँच बेडरूम और तीन बाथ वाले घर के मालिक नहीं बन जाते या आप अमीर नहीं बन जाते । केवल इच्छा करने भर से आप लीडर नहीं बन जाते । परंतु अगर आपमें विश्वास हो , तो आप पहाड़ को हिला सकते हैं । अगर आपको अपनी सफलता का विश्वास हो , तो इस विश्वास के सहारे आप सफलता हासिल कर सकते हैं । विश्वास की शक्ति के बारे में कुछ भी जादुई या रहस्यमय नहीं है । विश्वास इस तरह काम करता है । “ मुझे विश्वास है कि यह कर सकता हूँ " वाला रवैया हमें वह शक्ति , योग्यता और ऊर्जा देता जिसके सहारे हम वह काम कर पाते हैं । जब आपको यक़ीन होता है कि आप कोई काम कर सकते हैं , तो आपको अपने आप पता चल जाता कि इसे कैसे किया जा सकता है । नहीं पहुंच पाते । अगर आप यह मान लेते हैं कि चोटी पर पहुँचना  विश्वास करें , सचमुच विश्वास करें हिला सकते । और आप वाकई ऐसा कर सकते हैं । अधिकतर लोगों को यह विषया सभी युवक - युवतियाँ " चाहते " हैं कि किसी दिन वे सफलता की चोटी पर हर दिन देश भर में युवा लोग नई नौकरियां शुरू कर रहे पहुंचे और सफल बनें । परंतु इनमें से ज़्यादातर लोगों को यह विश्वास । नहीं है कि वे कभी चोटी पर पहुँच पाएँगे । और इसी कारण वे चोटी पर असंभव है , तो आप उन सीढ़ियों को नहीं ढूंढ पाएंगे जिनके सहारे आप चोटी पर पहुँच सकते हैं । ऐसे लोग जिंदगी भर " औसत " व्यक्तियों की ही नहीं होता कि उनमें पहाड हिलाने की क्षमता है । इसका परिणाम ।तरह ही व्यवहार करते रहते परंतु इनमें से कुछ युवक - युवतियों को विश्वास होगा कि वे सफल हो सकते हैं । वे अपने काम के प्रति “ मैं चोटी पर पहुँचकर दिखाऊँगा " वाला रवैया रखते हैं । और चूंकि उनमें ज़बर्दस्त विश्वास होता है इसलिए चोटी पहुँच जाते हैं । यह जानते हुए कि वे भी सफल हो सकते - और ऐसा असंभव नहीं है यह लोग अपने वरिष्ठ एक्जीक्यूटिब्ज़ व्यवहार को ध्यान से देखते हैं वे सीखते हैं कि सफल लोग किस तरह समस्याओं को सुलझाते हैं और निर्णय लेते हैं । वे सफल लोगों के रवैए ध्यान से देखते हैं । जिस आदमी को विश्वास होता है कि वह काम कर लेगा , उसे हमेशा उस काम को करने का तरीक़ा सूझ जाता है । मेरी एक परिचित महिला ने दो साल पहले यह फैसला किया कि वह मोबाइल होम बेचने की सेल्स एजेंसी बनाएगी । उसे कई लोगों ने सलाह दी कि उसे ऐसा नहीं करना चाहिए क्योंकि वह ऐसा नहीं कर पाएगी । उस महिला के पास पूँजी के नाम पर सिर्फ 3000 डॉलर थे और उसे बताया गया कि इस काम को शुरू करने के लिए इससे कई गुना ज़्यादा पूँजी की ज़रूरत होती है । उसे समझाया गया , “ इसमें प्रतियोगिता बहुत । और इसके अलावा आपको मोबाइल होम्स बेचने का कोई अनुभव भी नहीं है । आपको बिज़नेस चलाने का अनुभव भी नहीं है । " परंतु इस युवा महिला को अपनी क्षमताओं पर विश्वास था । उसे विश्वास था कि वह सफल होगी । वह मानती थी कि उसके पास पूँजी नहीं थी , कि बिजनेस में सचमुच बहुत प्रतियोगिता थी , और यह कि उसके पास अनुभव नहीं था । “ परंतु , ” उसने कहा , " मुझे यह साफ़ दिख रहा है कि मोबाइल होम उद्योग तेज़ी से फैलने जा रहा है । इसके अलावा , मैंने अपने इस बिज़नेस में प्रतियोगिता का अध्ययन कर लिया है । मैं जानती हूँ कि मैं इस बिजनेस को इस शहर में सबसे अच्छे तरीके से कर सकती हूँ । मैं जानती हूँ मुझसे थोड़ी बहुत ग़लतियाँ तो होंगी , परंतु मैं चोटी पर तेज़ी से पहुंचना.
